2013 has been an eventful year for me. Quickly now…
- 5-year anniversary with my girlface
- I became a vegetarian
- Xbox One is creeping into my living room trying to be the centre of all media.
- I’ve used the Nexus 4, HTC One, Galaxy S4, Xperia ZL, Blackberry Z10, LG G2, Galaxy Note 3 and finally the Nexus 5.
- Residing in Toronto’s lively midtown area.
- Finally, I landed a dream job at a dream company.
But with all that said, where does that leave me and blogging? It’s unfortunate but I honestly didn’t blog and learn about music this year as much as I wanted to. To add to that, many blogs that I frequent have either closed down or ventured to do other things. One of the biggest sources of good music, Elbo.ws, has even shut down due to way too many DMCA complaints. Which in result left me with limited resources to find out what’s good since I just didn’t have the time to “dig in the crates” of the Internet. So the following list is in no way a zeitgeist of 2013. It’s simply what kept me moving and grooving in 2013. I didn’t have time to properly assess the top albums of 2013 despite just how much awesomeness was out there this year. With life moving at such a rapid pace as it is, this feeling might even carry into 2014. But I’ll shut up now… You’re here for some chunes, right?
